What parts are interchangeable between Grand Am GT?

Long story short... I got screwed over with a grand am I recently purchased and will now be getting a 2000 Malibu with low km from a family member. The Malibu needs some refreshing and regular maitnence bits, but overal pretty good for the year. The grand am is not worth fixing itself, but has a lot of recent parts like all 4 struts, decent brakes (disk in the rear as well), etc. Could these parts be swapped over to the Malibu easily to fix the worn out bits it has, and lessen the loss from the grand am? The grand am is a 2000 GT, would I be able to put the dual exhaust and maybe the top end of the 3.4 on somewhat easily? Or would that require a tune? Malibu has the 3.1. Anything else you could think of worth salvaging?

Thanks guys

I am not a professional mechanic and I do not play one on TV. Double check before you do anything...

BUT...

According to the Monroe Shocks and Struts site, the part numbers for the suspension components mentioned (struts for example) are the same between the 2000 Grand Am and the 2000 Malibu.

2000 Malibu

2000 Grand Am

When it doesn't go your way, think, "Problem, or inconvenience?"

Did you use the rear discs from your Grand Am and put them on the Malibu? If so, is everything working properly and did you notice better stopping with the rear discs in place?
