Oil change, then multiple dash indicators

Greetings to all as this is my first post on this forum. I have an 09 Malibu bought used last October from a Chevy dealer that had 35000 miles at time of purchase. I went to change the oil and filter for the first time today. Car now has 38000 miles. after changing oil and filter, "Service Traction" and
"Service ESC" message are now blinking in message area, and check engine light and "sliding car" (ESC warning light) are lit. What did I do wrong?

Wow, that's weird! What engine do you have?

In order to save a few keystrokes in future posts you could click on User CP and add that info to your sig, avatar, or both.

Do you recall moving or touching any wires? Did you use the DIC to reset the oil life monitor? Did you press the Traction Control button (lower right of center stack), or press and hold it for several seconds? Did a passenger or other person press it?

Did you unplug any Sensors like the air intake temp sensor or Throttle body conector when checking things out under the hood. Some Engine DTCs will disable the traction control system.

You guys were right. When moving the air intake tube to get to the oil filter, the plug on the MAF sensor(?) came loose. It was still attached, but not making proper contact.

Firepop5,

Since you have found the sensor that had come loose, has this taken care of the lights that were coming on?

These guys on here are awesome and full of helpful information to help us.

I hope that you week is going well!
