Very bad-misfiring and check engine light

So I've got a 2008 Chevy Malibu LT 3.6L engine and recently my car has is mis-firing very badly (james bond could probably have his favorite drink shaken in the couple holder). The car is rough at idle and gets worse if you give it gas. Obviously I have now parked the car and am not driving it at all because I am afraid of doing more damage than there already is. I have ran the codes and am getting P0017 and P1174. Unfortunately my Haynes Repair Manual does not list the P1174 code so I'm very unsure of what that second code is.

Thanks for any help you all can give.

Re: Very bad-misfiring and check engine light

Oh ok cool thanks. I just didn't know if the 2 error codes in combination may point to another issue. My original though was fuel injector but when I saw that other code I was worried it could be something else.
