Post Tire montior sensor

Does the stock 17" steel wheels on malibu and the stock 17" alloy wheel use the same tire montior sensor or is it a different sensor they both use.

Dunno for sure, but since the business of mass-production is driven by dollars I'd have to guess they use the exact same part in all wheels of every size. All it has to do is report the pressure.
