How To: MyLink Update

Where can you see if there's a update?

How do you find out what version you're currently running?

How do you update the unit?

It's not an end user type of update on those cars, goes back to the dealer. You looking to fix a problem or have access to more apps? No updates for additional apps, yet. Depending on your RPO codes and what kind of issue you may have, there are several bulletins, most of which update the radio software.

That's what I'm wondering... If my radio needs updates. I just bought my car on 4/1/13 but I don't know if they updated it prior to purchase.

Re: Hot To: MyLink Update

Depends on production date. Built after first week of March, there may be no newer updates. I'd need a VIN to check, you can PM me the last 8 digits if you want but it may take me a day or two to get back to you.

I guess I have a updated model MyLink system. Because you can update it. In my menu you it has two options "Update Software" & "create file log" both which are accessed through the USB port. My question is, where do I get the updated files?

Re: Hot To: MyLink Update

I believe all of the 13 Malibus have the option in the menus to update. We have had ours for almost a year now and it has the option.
When we first got the car last May there was a MyLink site that promised downloadable updates were coming then they yanked that and it never returned.
