Hey everyone, I was searching eBay and found these taillights.
Look at this on eBay
2013-2014 Chevy Malibu [Metallic Chrome Smoke Lens] LED Tail Lights 4Pc Set Direct Plug N' Play! Easy Installation. Fast Shipping!
I know eBay isn't the most reliable for quality parts, but I was wondering if anyone used these, and what did you think.
Wow, those don't look half bad. I have yet to see someone with these installed yet but instead of paying ~600 in total to have the LTZs lights installed and made to function, these could be a semi ok option B. I would keep the factory bulbs as we all know how aftermarket tail lights look on a aged car, especially something that isn't a sports vehicle.
I would prefer to use the LTZ tails, but I guess it's more involved than just swapping the light housing. I like the "idea" of the eBay lights. I don't know if they're going to work well or not. I'll check the return policy and go from there.
Direct Plug N' Play! Easy Installation depicted at the top of the site page. Then buried you see this:
- High Quality Tail lights made by OEM approved manufacturers with materials that meet strict OEM requirements.
- Professional Installation is Highly Recommended, No instruction included with the package
I would want the option to obtain some spare bulbs after looking at the pics prior to purchasing. How do you replace something that is burnt out two years later and you have no specs? Hopefully it is easy and cheap...(I do buy lots of stuff on eBay, but have been burned when something burns out per sé)
I really like them. I've not seen any others in the Phoenix area like these.
My son was driving and got pulled over. The officer first said that he had issue with the reflectors on them, but I really think it had to do with the speed he was driving. Driving 75mph is really easy with Stage 1 tune on it. He was given a warning and sent on his way.
I think you will like them.
How long have you had them? eBay has a few different models of lights. They have one that reminds me of the new dodge vehicles, led outlining the lights, which I really like. I'm curious to see both of them. Yours looks really good with the white, I don't know how it would look with my Atlantic blue 'bu.
That's what I've got, a 2014 1LT. I'd like to de-badge the trunk and get those lights. I don't like chrome, brushed aluminum maybe. I'll check em out a bit more. It's kind of expensive for an off brand of light.
