BNR Spring Sale- Trifecta Tunes 20% Off

We're running a spring promotion on Trifecta Performance tunes, 20% off!

We can tune most of the newer malibus, including the newer turbo LTZ, which I know a few members here have. You can order your tune here-

We're just getting our Malibu section going on the site, so let us know what kind of performance parts you're looking for any we'll get them added!

Re: BNR Spring Sale- Trifecta Tunes 20% Off

I have a question already. The link above took me to a page that shows the Trifecta tune for 2 different versions of the 3.6L V6. One says 2008-2011 and the other says "2012+". The 2012 is still a Gen7 like the 2008-2011, though I'm not sure if it's altered electronically to be its own version. And unless you buy a European model of the Gen8 2013 'Bu you can't get a V6 anymore.

That's correct but from what I've seen in the past the 2008-2011 come with the LY7 engine and the 2012 comes with the LFX engine. The 2014 build sheet for the Malibu shows a LFX option but that may not be for the US (we sell world wide with dealers in Korea, Australia, etc.)

EDIT: Seems we are mistaken, the US 2012 comes with the LY7 still. I'll update the product page. Thanks for catching that.

Re: BNR Spring Sale- Trifecta Tunes 20% Off

What kind of numbers can we expect to see from the Trifecta tune for the LY7 3.6 in the Malibus? Does the tune do anything for the transmission, like better shift points?

Numbers are around 20hp/tq and yes it includes auto trans tuning such as shift points and firmness

Re: BNR Spring Sale- Trifecta Tunes 20% Off

OK, more questions! Sorry, I'm a noob to this stuff...

What special requests are available on this tune?

What is the Ghost Cam feature and what does it do?

Does the trans tune help it shift faster or just firmer shifts and different shift points? For example, when I press the Shift Request button it can take several seconds before a shift occurs, especially during downshifts. I want it to shift when I say so, not when it can find a spot in the calendar!

Your ad mentions that in Drive it will shift normally, but moving it to "Sport Mode" will cause it to shift aggressively. Is that the same in our cars as moving it from D to M or is there a special button provided with the tune to engage Sport Mode?

PS: I doubt I'll be able to chirp the tires now that I've upgraded from the stock GY Eagle LS2 to Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus. They grab like they have claws!
