Newbie from FL - 2002 Malibuml02malibu 11-03-2008, 01:50 PM Hello all! I just purchased a 2002 Malibu and look forward to learning more about it on the forums. I need to tackle the front brakes (just the rotors) and maybe improve the sound system, but other than that, it's a great car. It's definitely better than the Ford Taurus that I used to have. Anyway, off to learning! :) Mark jester 11-03-2008, 02:54 PM Congratulations! Nothing wrong with the older Malibus although almost everything here is for the brand new ones..... Try quad4forums or unitedmalibus for more older chat. Summitracing has real nice drilled and slotted rotors for less than $100 each, get new pads for them. Sound is easy to fix - replace the factory speakers (6x9 rear, 4x6 front) with the best you can afford THEN look at other options... Joeyavhu 11-03-2008, 03:05 PM Congrats.
