Accidentally came across the video of radio removal, posting here in case anyone needs to do it.

Awesome. Nice to see, should it ever need to for any reason, it's quite straightforward.

That would even be a good video for service techs not in the know, rather than random printed out instructions from their system which may or may not be overly clear.

Nice find. I want to add power to the little compartment in the dash. This will help me gat a cable up there.

It is almost scary how easy it seems to be.

the way it should be :)

but nothing comes close to how easy it was on my Ranger truck. All you needed a couple of wire coat hangers, not even a screwdriver :) I did it first time within 5 minutes :)

Aye...the head units with a little visible hole on the corners of the face where you insert and it releases? I think the only NA GM vehicle like that right now--it is quite unique because of it--is the Saturn Astra, which is imported. There are a handful of other manufacturer's with them like that, still.

something like that, yes...there was a special Ford tool for that, but the wire hangers from dry cleaners were good enough :)

Nothing like bringing a dead post back up, but even the 06 GTO uses similar tools to have the radio out in seconds. I switch between my modded on and stock all the time. I Malibu radio was just as easy to remove.

Thanks for the vid.
