I bought an '09 in December and noticed on my first wash that there was a sticky residue around all the wheel flarings. Because it was winter, I just left it alone, but now with spring around the corner, it needs a good wash/wax and I am wondering how to take this off without hurting the paint.

Is it something the manufacture puts on to protect the paint in that area? :confused:
