Just picked up my Malibu today and took my Eclipse AVN-5510 DVD/NAV system out of my 04 F150 before I traded it in...just wondering if anyone knew if it would fit in the Malibu, (I have a 1LT) and if so what will it affect such as the speed sensitivity or steering wheel controls?

Yes the Eclipse will fit the Malibu. You will need to purchase a mounting kit, GM LAN radio harness, steering wheel control interface, and antenna adapter. Expect this to cost you over $200 for just these parts. You will loose your factory XM and speed sensing when replacing the factory radio.
