redhorse 08-16-2009, 09:07 AM Is that rear sun shade only in the LTZ? I checked my LT and didn't find anything.
The rear sun shade was part of a package on my car (sun shade and rear seat power package).

ditto for me too. I don't use the sunshade since I tinted the windows.
Yefeng 08-18-2009, 07:17 AM rear seat power package???
malibudragon 08-18-2009, 07:45 AM rear seat power package???
On the back of the armrest for the back passengers there is a standard house plug for laptops, chargers or whatever. In that package you get a rear window curtain that lifts up to shade the sun
Red LTZ 08-18-2009, 03:37 PM Yeah I found myself wishing I had gotten that one, but I had a hard enough time finding an LTZ without a moonroof (I'm tall), before the deadline for my GM Topoff bonus ended.
Yefeng 08-19-2009, 10:41 PM seriously??? a house plug???? WTF.........if I knew that I would have gotten that!!!!!

Me too or I would have added it. I wonder what it would cost to add after market without the shade. Just want the power.
redhorse 08-22-2009, 07:59 AM Since my radio doesn't have the USB port (grumble grumble -- they had to replace it and COULD have put in a USB radio) I use the rear seat plug to power my ipod. It's great! Plus, I no longer have to buy a car charger for my cell phone.

I believe it's part of a package and you have to get both.
ucantcme 08-24-2009, 10:18 AM If you want a power outlet, just purchase a Power Inverter...just plug in to your cigarette lighter and you'll have a house plug!
Beagle RC Air 08-26-2009, 08:55 AM I really like the three position front door hinges. Does anyone know if the rear window sunshade can be purchased separately? All in all pretty neat car!

Damn you can get a house plug as an option.:eek:http://cheapcarpartsnow.com/?page_id=9
Malibu Red 10-08-2009, 07:42 AM I live in Michigan and on occasion I travel to Canada. So changing from English (mph) to Metric (kph) is nice. I couldn't find it in the manual anywhere. I did figure it out.
The buttons on the left of the steering wheel: Hold the Info button while pressing the return arrow button. Release when you see "units=english" on the info center. Now hold down the return arrow button until the units change (~ 3 secs).
It's kinda cool the numbers on the speedometer align with the metric units!
guitarboy_02451 10-16-2009, 08:52 PM Tires!!! I can't believe it, I never noticed them before... :-)

Could you elaborate a bit more about the "three position front door hinges" Can't seem to find anything like that on my '09. TIA

When you push the door all the way open it is in the last detent. You can pull it partially closed and it will go into another detent and it still has another detent when it is 1/3 open. Makes it nice when you don't want it to open too far and hit another car door in a parking lot.

Gotcha....had never noticed that until your post. Thanks
Pat's LTZ 10-20-2009, 04:41 PM OK, so my salesman emails me & says the my car is to be built next week. The last time I bought a new car, for some unknown out of the blue reason, I decided to check & see if the lug nuts were tightened (torqued) properly. Good thing b/c one of them was not even finger tight. I want to check that before I even leave the lot. I intend to break out my ultra expensive Sears torque wrench & do it there in the lot. Since I don't have a manual to consult just yet, I was hoping if anyone knows the torque value & size of the lug nut is. I only want to bring with me that day what is necessary & not an entire tool box. Yeah I am all wound up about this purchase. It's the best car I will ever have so far. Y'all better cover your ears from the profanity if I find anything wrong with it.
