Just wondering.

My 1st was a 1970 MG Midget...$2,300. I was 18 years old and needed my parents to co-sign the loan. IIRC, I paid $500 down and traded my beat-to-death '62 Beetle for $200. My folks also had me on their insurance policy to keep the costs "low". Gasoline was about $0.32/gal. Occasionally, gas wars broke out and I could fill the Midget's tank for $2.50!

The Malibu is our (wife and mine) 8th new car. This one might be a keeper.

My first new car was a 1998 Dodge Avenger ES. I had always drove the parents vehicles so the Avenger was my first car and first new car rolled into one. The Malibu is my second new car. Hopefully it will be as good to me as the Avenger was.

I've been driving since '64. So, I've had the opportunity and time to own many "new" cars. My first was a '73 Olds Delta 88 Royale, then a '78 GP, '85 Cutlass Salon, '87 Caddy Deville, '91 GP, '94 Caddy Eldorado, '98 Caddy Catera, '06 Ridgeline and now the '08 Malibu.

There were a number of used vehicles thrown in the mix as well. This is my first Chevy, other than a Chevy "LUV" truck I bought used a long time ago.

My favorite would be the Caddy Eldorado. I loved that car. Wish I still had it.

I'm a bit embarrassed to say this, but no, it's not. It's only embarrassing because we've had nine new cars (counting the Malibu) now in 14 years. I'm pretty sure that we're going to stick with the ones we have now for a bit longer than we have many of the others though.

The Malibu is my first new car and also my first Chevy.. I love this car and plan to keep it for a very long time!!

The Malibu is our first new car but second new vehicle. Our first new vehicle was a 2005 Dodge Dakota.

My first new car was a 1984 Nissan Sentra. It was okay, but not great. Nissan has come a long way since then.

Based on some of the 70s and 80s GM vehicles I've owned, it is amazing that I stuck with GM. They were mostly total garbage. The only thing worse was the Eagle Vision, which was junk. Late 90s and 00s GMs are light years better.

My first brand new car (only had used before) was an 03 Impala, which I traded for a second new car, an 06 Cadillac CTS.
Later that year I bought my wife a brand new 06 Equinox.
I recently traded my CTS for a brand new 08 Malibu.

Probably my favorite car of all time was my dad's used 87 Chevy Eurosport! This Malibu reminds me a lot of that car.

I can't really knock on the Celebrity. I brought a used 85 Escort to our marriage, while my wife brought an ex-rental 1983 Celebrity. That car was a floaty-boat riding thing, but lasted practically forever under pretty abusive use. :o

This is my first NEW car. I bought my wife a new Toyota Yaris last year but that was her car.
