daaavek 05-30-2009, 07:05 AM Here's my 'Bu with Ace Alloy Deluxe 20" rims and Yokohama tires. The Ace Alloys have different back spacing but must be custom drilled for bolt pattern, so I know they're pretty unique... let me know what you think!

hey i have a 09 malibu also and wanting to put rims,i would like to no what size tire you running cause they told me i have to go with a 225/30 and thats pretty thin,i wanted to run a 225/35 and wonder if they might rub
Discount Tire 11-03-2009, 08:53 AM 225/35-20 and 235/35-20 are approved sizes for the Malibu assuming the wheel dimensions are correct.

I was told and have on order 245/35/ZR-20's too....
Discount Tire 11-03-2009, 05:28 PM Size 245/35-20 is good height wise but is a little aggressive on the width. The max recommended width is 235. Some 245's will work depending on the brand. Tires are like shoes, some run larger while others run smaller in the same size. Which model did you purchase?

Falken's....I think you were the one who recommended them to me via PM.

Falken's run smaller tham most other models so you should be in good shape. I went back through our PM history and it looks like we recommended the 225's ;)

You said 245's too. It's cool, as long as they fit. The guy at the store said it would work. I wanted a wider tire anyway. 225's are to narrow. I have 315's on my other car.:D
"We may also be able to get this size to fit, depending on the tire: 245/35R20
-Travis"
Discount Tire 11-04-2009, 08:12 AM Ah, yes, Sorry I didn't see that one. There are two of us that message here. If you are going to run the 245's Falken is the way to go. Sounds like Travis made a good recommendation. Falken tires tend to run a little narrower than other tires so they should fit nice and tight. Post up some pictures when you get them bolted up. I'd love to see the final product.
