My temperature gauge isn't working properly. Maybe one day out of a month it will begin to work and read properly. The rest of the time it isn't working at all. I replaced the Temp Sending Unit that sends the reading to the computer.

This didn't fix it.

ALSO, the fan turns on almost as soon as I start the car and continues to run!

Could it be the Gauge Sending Sensor? Thermostat?

If it were the t-stat it would either run too cold or too hot depending on what position it was stuck in. The fan shouldn't kick on automatically unless; you have the defroster vents, a/c on or the car is running hot.

Even if the gauge temp sensor wasn't functioning properly the fan should especially if there is another ECT. The thermal fan switch might be bad. That is normally on a coolant hose leaving the radiator or on the radiator itself.

I cannot really tell you. I don't know those engines very well.
