I have a 2000 Malibu LS v6 and I was thinking about getting a new engine. What would be a good engine for my car and how much do they run for? (Price wise) If anyone has any ideas or tips please respond. Thanks for your time!:D

Go to your dealer and several shops and ask for a est.

Ask what new will cost.

Ask what a short block will cost with rebuilding the head. The short block is your engine without the head.

Ask what it would cost to rebuild the whole engine.

Don't forget your Transmission may need work also.

I forgot to ask how many miles you have on the engine.
