Our 'Bu hasn't been named. So far it's just referred to as "da car" vs "da truck". Sometimes we refer to my truck as the "Pizza Wagon"! :D

I always given my vehicles female names. My Malibu is named Jewel. (My wife has warned me that we cannot use a name for a child that I have named one of my cars)

Same here, my wife and I call our vehicles simply "the car" or "the truck" except for the car we are trying to sell, we call it "the Saturn".

Mine is in the sig....I normally name the car after itself...how original...I know lol! It just seemed to go well. "We'll take the Jetta, the Fusion, the Accord...." It just flows for me!

We call it boo.. Kind of appropriate on 2 fronts, it's white (like a ghost) and of course Mali(bu)

Our Malibu is named Dixie.

Our Scion xB is named Scooter, and our Miata is Jake Long, American Dragon.

I forgot about the other two.

Envoy is called "Gas Hog #1."
Sonoma is called "Gas Hog #2."

Their nicknames can be used interchangeably. :D

Right now, it is baby or Bu', but she will get named one day, just need to "stumble" on it, I believe you can't force a name upon it....It will come one day.

Theres a local bar that has a ghost (so the story goes) thats named Irene (Irene was a person that was died in the bar many years ago when she got drunk and fell down the stairs coming from the upstairs ballroom).
Irene is blamed for unexplainable things that happen in the bar, so I call my car Irene, cause unexplainable things always happen to it.

I've never named a car before, but I've come to call mine Christine. It's red, it will start while I'm still in the house (remote start), and kinda talks to me with the Bluetooth and OnStar. Anyone old enough to remember the movie "Christine" will get it. :)

Hm I guess I probably call mine "the Bu" or "Ma' Bu" the most. This winter it's been called "baby" a lot in the snow, ie "c'mon baby!" :)

Compared to previous vehicles I've owned, this thread is making me realise I dont refer to ma 'bu by name too much... probably because a lot of the time with other vehicles, referring to them by name usually was not a good thing haha

I talk to my GPS unit waay more than my car: she's Australian and her name is "Shirley" (ie 'surely'). It's a love-hate relationship with her though, unlike the 'Bu :D

Mine is Maude... I wanted something funny to call her. My family and friends know exactly what I'm talking about when I used "Maude" in conversation and the dealership knows that's her name as well, they saw me enough in the beginning with all the problems I've had.

Lol yeah I agree! I tried naming one of my cars when I was younger and it just didn't feel right...

I call my Malibu "My Car" and my wife's car "Her/Your car".

I called mine 04 JUNK and traded it. They ask me why I was trading a low mile car, I told I just wanted to upgrade.

I didn't give my car the nickname it has now. I was at a car show and some ppl came over to it and I heard them say that its a "Baja Panty". So I looked it up and its a great name for it..... especially brought a smile to my face when I found out its a Panty Dropper lol.....

I call my 2010 "Mali-Poo"! Because it's a piece of crap.
