How about an 11' Malibu? The Cadillac CTS is a very nice and luxurious car. You looking for a luxury car, or are you trying to stay in the same class as a Malibu?

yes, i'm looking to upgrade to a luxury sport sedan. mainly i'd like feedback as to reliability of these cars as i'm not into the performance side of the equation. for the first time, this would be my major expense as far as car ownership is concerned. i've had the following cars: mercury cougar, mercury grand marquis, chevy camaro, nissan frontier, 04 malibu and now 08 malibu...;) this will be my only debt so financially i don't have a problem purchasing either vehicle...i just want to make a good choice...

Of those 3, my choice would be the Caddy. Simply based on looks. If you really want to step up, the CTS-V is the ultimate!

If you like the Malibu than the Lacrosse and CTS are the next step up. Im still not sold on "Ecoboost" because it does produce good HP but there is nothing Eco about it. You'll get the exact same mileage from the CTS without the turbocharging.

First off lets not say "American made." Technically it's globally made. Now, since we've got that out, I would recommend the CTS. It has the best styling/features IMO and it's consitstantly one of the top rated GM vehicles.

From my perspective the Buick is more geared towards the older people crowd. I owned an '05 Lacrosse and while I loved it, I was definitely 20yrs too young to own it.

The MKS is sexy on the outside, but the interior is boring as hell. I'm sure it's nicely built, but the interior just ruins the car for me.

The CTS is sexy on the outside, sexy on the inside, and is reliable to boot. The CTS wins hands down. I would trade my Malibu in a heartbeat to get a CTS.

I cant wait to see the inside of the new Lacrosse. In pictures its beautiful and I think even has a little edge over the CTS. GM has marketed Buick to younger people and the Lacrosse is the newest example.

i'm checking out the CTS owner's sites for any issues with reliability with their cars...looks like i'll be in the 35k ballpark with either the CTS or Lacrosse. and i read that GM is getting back into the leasing business for its luxury cars too, that's a bonus...

+1 on the '10 Lacrosse. The new styling is a marked improvement over the last gen. It's a Lexus killer.
