I picked up a set of 07 Malibu 16" rims for my winter tire set up, but I am not sure what size tires I should go with. Its tough to really see the difference without physically looking at them.

My stock size is 225x50x18

Based on 1010tire my circumference is 84.35"

225x60x16 = 83.62" - speedo would be .864% fast
215x65x16 = 84.84" - speedo would be .558% slow

There is a few dollars difference in price as well - the 215's are cheaper - but Im not sure if they would be too tall and rub on anything........

Thoughts ??

What size calculator did you use, or what site? I found this from Discount Tire and the 225/60R16 would be acceptable since it is relatively close in circumference.

Thanks guys - I was using 1010tires.com - you can compare more then one size at a time.

I think I am going to go with the 225x60x16's.
