Hey guys,

Just picked up an 09 LTZ with ebony/brick interior. I am planning on giving the car a thorough detailing this Friday before winter hits here in Chicago. I've been doing some reading and I see that lexol is highly recommended for leather cleaning and conditioning so I am going to give that product a try.

I've also read that our seats are not real leather or that only certain sections of the seat are leather. I seen an article that said leather care products are ineffective on these type of fake leather seats. My question is, would the lexol leather products work properly with the LTZ leather and if so should I use it to clean the entire seat or just certain parts that are leather?

I have been looking all over the web to find some info on this and I am genuinely confused. I don't want to use the wrong product on my new car and chance ruining the seats or anything.

Thanks

The "seating" is leather on the LTZ. It is the sides of the bolsters and back that are not. I am not sure of any manufacturer doing full leather front back and sides. Even high end furniture in 99% of cases is leather seating only. Is the seating dirty? Just wipe with a damp cloth, as GM does not recommend conditioners.

I use Meguiars on my LTZ seats and I do the whole seat front and back, you'll have no problems with the Lexol ;)
