Im in the market for wheels for my 09 Malibu and was wondering if I would have any issues with a 8.5" wide wheel and +38mm offset either sticking out or being too far pushed in.

Mine are 20x8.5 with a 40mm offset and fit perfect.

You have no rubbing issues at all, not even while turning? What tires are you running if you don't mind me asking and did it mess with your speedo? Also are they flush with the fenders?

No rubbing at all, even at full lock. I have Falken FK452's. 245/35/ZR-20's.
Diameter is within 1/10 of stock so speedo is the same too. They are pretty flush too, don't stick out at all.

Thanks a lot man. One last question, you don't think 20's look too big or awkward on the Malibu? I know in person they must look a lot different than in pics. Also your car looks really aggressive, I think you should finish it off with that one lip spoiler.

I think the 20's are just right. The Malibu has big wheel wells and the stock 18's IMO just didn't fill them right.

And a lip spoiler is next.;)
