Hello,
Newbie and proud new owner of a 2008 Chevy Malibu LT. I absolutely love the car the lines are about as clean as Chevy has every had on any of its sedans.
There is just one thing that is absolutely annoying. I swear if I can make it past this problem without spending a ton, I would be the happiest man in the world (who owns a Malibu).
From the rear deck area of the vehicle, there is a very persistent squeak. It usually happens when the car is in motion over bumpy roads where it causes consistent vibration (@ low or high speed). The sound doesn't occur over the larger bumps. But when there is a constant vibration, it will squeak like crazy! I can really hear it when going over the "bots dots" So far I've removed the rear seats, pulled the rear deck and the side pillars in the rear, secured the saftey belt holders, and check for loose wiring. The speakers also seem pretty secure.
Has anyone had this issue or something similar maybe? Can someone please help? Thanks in advance for any ideas or solutions.
If more details are needed, please ask. Im very open to suggestions.
