Well I stumbled upon this forum with some questions, My name is Clayton, really impressed with the awesome forum you guys have going here.
Well my car started having very slight hesitations when accelerating. Someone recommended Seafoam to me to cure it.
I followed the exact procedure. pouring 1/3 into vacuum line, 1/3 into crank case and since there was only a 1/5 of a tank of gas i only put an ounce or two in the gas.
It did the whole smoke show and all the seafoam was burned up, the exaust was normal again and the car ran noticeably better for 5 minutes after it all cleared up. then it died.
No fuel pressure at the rail at all. Now I figured I burned the fuel pump up because the level was low. I pulled the tank off, pulled the pump out, visually it looks great. I apply direct power to the leads to the pump, bypassing all the relays and other nonsense and I get nothing, well the other concerning thing is I am also getting no power TO the pump either. It does infact go through the relay but For some reason isnt making it back to power the pump.
Is there a secondary circuit of some sort?
Clog in the fuel line? (Maybe keeping pressure on the pump? Will the pump still activate with sufficient pressure?)
Ive heard things about a security system, inertia switch etc but I am not to keen on that end of things.
This car being down is really giving me hell on my end so any suggestions are super appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
