if its the new body style 08 yes for sure, you just need the key FOB and to get it programmed.
if its the older body style im honestly not sure
hope this helps
worst case is go to the dealer and ask.

Yeah it's a classic so it has the old body style, I had heard about the new body style so that's why I was asking.

Is this true about the new body styles?

I have an '09 and it didn't come with remote start, I find it kind of hard to believe all I have to do is purchase a fob and have it programmed, I would think there would have to be some kind of receiver in the car....

You can either defend your doubt or have it evaporate by contacting your dealer, then share what they say with the rest of us. We all really appreciate it when someone shares what they've learned. That is, after all, one of the biggest reasons we come here, eh?

I know I've learned some things about my car that weren't in the manual. One in particular is the remote start itself. While it's running, if I go through the steps again - lock, hold start for 4+ seconds - it will advance the timer from 10 minutes to 20. Previously I was waiting for the first session to expire before starting it again.

I'm an appreciative kind of person so what saddens me is I can't remember who it was that posted that because I can't tell them thanks. I hope this shout out in a general post is enough for them.

nope just shuts my car off :(

what i did was start my car with the remote start like normal by locking it and holding the start button

once it started i locked it and held the button again and it turned off, maybe its different for the 09....

2 quick things to try.

1. You can only start it twice with the remote and then you have to use the key to start it. Then you can use the remote again.

2. When it has been started by remote on its first time, press lock and watch for the lights to flash. Once they do you have just a few seconds to hold the start for 4+ seconds. (I know you know how to do it, but I'm just trying to encourage you to try it again.)

If that still doesn't work then I'll concede that there's a difference between the 2 model years. You wouldn't think so, but we didn't design it, did we?

I hope it works, man.
