Here are the pictures of our new 2010 GMC Terrain. Its a SLE2, FWD, 4 cyl (2.4L DI Ecotec), Merlot Jewel Metallic exterior and Jet Black Interior.

Basically, we wanted to get something that would be more comfortable on me. Although the Malibu was a great car, the 2-3 annoyances really just pushed the issue.

Anyways, I went to the dealer to talk about me getting a new car (05 Ion). Upon talking to the salesmen, I asked if he knew if they were getting in any Terrains. They had just been given their GMC/Buick franchises earlier in the week. He had no clue. We went to talk to the sales manager and he pulled up all 10 that they had ordered for stock. Low and behold they had one in exactly what we wanted. I was REALLY surprised. However, if they didnt have one coming in we were fully prepared to order to get exactly what we wanted. Thats what killed us in the end with the Malibu.

On to the pictures. Yes, the design is polarizing. Its not a safe CUV at all. We looked at the Equinox and both agreed that it was too "bland" for the two of us. Also, it is not near as big as it looks in pictures. It stands 5'5" tall so keep that in mind. It is small despite its looks.

Projector lamps are pretty sweet. HIDs are going in for sure.

Cargo area. Its smaller than some other CUVs but with the ability to slide the rear seat 8" it makes it much bigger than pictured.

Pioneer premium audio system. Its pretty good for a stock system. Ive been pleasantly surprised.

Back up camera in the rear view. If you get the NAV system its on the NAV screen.

Not bad MPG for how hard we are driving it during the first 1k miles. Bonnie drove to Nashville and it returned 29.4 MPG on the DIC while she was going 75-80. :D

Close up of the paint. Its just beautiful in the sunlight.

Very nice, all those extra features must be really cool too! Congrats on your new purchase, we are all happy for ya.:)

Honestly, only the camera and DIC are really upgrades. I really disliked the Malibu's DIC as it just seemed like an afterthought. Now, the camera is sweet. It takes some getting used to but its a great helper in backing up into tight spots.

Also, the premium cloth is AMAZING. I love it. Sorry, no pictures of it though.

How about the ipod connectivity and bluetooth. Were those in your Bu?

Not iPod (we had an early 09 build) but we did use a Zune with the aux cable. We had a LTZ so the bluetooth was in the Malibu. I used it quite often but my wife hated it. lol

I see, so just gettin used to the larger size of the Terrain and as for the features you are pretty much used to em all.

I like that interior, looks all edgy and cool!

Congratulations! Very nice.

The cargo area seems nice. Doesn't seem as large as in my Endeavor, but it looks like very practical cubic shape.
Also looks like loading things into it would be quite comfortable (i.e. not having to lift things up too much and not bending too much).

...I am all utility these days :) Having to load a bulky stroller followed by a week worth of groceries for the family does change the way you look at things :)

So sizewise, what can it be compared to? Is it in the vicinity or Rav4 and the likes or more like HHR?

Id say its a Rav4 size for sure. HHR is around the same size but it has a much smaller feel to it.

Just saying, the back-up camera isn't really an upgrade. It's standard on all Terrain models.

Glad to hear you're liking it. I didn't know you were planning HIDs, you'll have to post up pics when you get it done.

I didnt say the back up camera was an upgrade. Just merely saying that its in the rearview if you dont have the NAV. Its one of the reasons we got the Terrain. ;)

As for the HIDs, I gotta convince the wife. :(:(
