I recently took my battery negative off for a few days while i was detailing my car as i was working around the airbags while removing the front seats. i finished tonight and went to reconnect the battery and have run into a rather annoying problem. When i attach the negative to the battery, the alarm goes off. when i first touch the negative to the terminal, it gives the the honk then stops. But as soon as i start screwing the terminal bolt down, it sets off the alarm. ive never had this problem before but i have never had the battery disconnected for more than a few minutes either. is this normal and will it stop after i tighten the bolt? thanks ahead of time.

I've had that happen to me every time I disconnect the battery on pretty much all my vehicles. The worst thing of all is that it catches you off guard and scares you some times.....LOL! Ok, yea just make all your connections and if it starts to go off just let happen. Tighten up the connections enough so that they are not too loose and then hit the disarm button on your alarm.
