I have a 2002 LS that wont start.A friend of my told me that the mod is gone,this there any way to check it. because i check for a spark,got none.Can't go to a pro just yet.:(

So many things to check. Start with the obvious - fuses. Pull each one and check it with a continuity tester. Or make one by using a wire and a bulb and your car battery. If the light lights up then the fuse is good.

Check your relays, especially the fuel pump and ECM or PCM.

Turn the key on and listen for the fuel pump to run about a second or two then shut off. If you don't hear it have someone turn the key while you listen at the gas tank.

Does it have gas? How long has it been since it started and ran right? How old are the plugs and/or wires? Did you just recently get gas and now it crapped out? Could you have gotten water in the fuel? Have you done any work on the car and accidentally knocked off a wire or loosend a plug? (Those are the hardest to find - they look like they're plugged in but they're not!)

yes Drivendaily,i have check all the fuse and relays and there is half a tank. I have put new plugs and wires last fall,check to make sure the fuel pump is working. I when to the store came out got in it wouldn't start. luck i have CAA.

Drivendaily, i read the thread from iEXCEL and the part on the crank sencor would it stop the the coil from sending any spark at all.

Hey guys i find out what was wrong with my car. It for some resume it thought it was stolen and shut down. A friend told me that his sister-in-law brother had one do that to him.So he did what they told him to do,turn the key on,the anti-thief light will start to flash,leave the key on till it stops flashing and goes out(about 10min). Then turn the car off for about 1-2mins,it should start. The are malibu fames for this.
