Hey everyone

New here

Girlfriend got a new car.
so she gave me her 98 malibu to mess around with.

it needs some work.
we wrecked it pretty badly.
was a hit and run, the guy we hit, yeah he ran.
It was his fault.
he was in a dodge durango.
his trailer hitch demolished the front end.

What is needing to be replaced-

both headlight assemblies
core support
front bumper cover aling with anything broken behind it
needs a hood and a hood latch
I've got a grill for it already, but thats it.

And then on top of that, she got backed into in a school
parking lot. Crunched the passenger side rear tail light,
pushed in the uni-body into the trunk space.
Destroyed the rear bumper cover. Ive replaced the tail light and pulled
out most of the uni-body that was pushed in via ratchet strap and a tree.
Car needs work. CD player no longer works, radio works fine. Its starting to loose compression at 170k, i'll be repairing it and driving it till it dies, and deffinatly doing either an engine rebuild or swapping out the engine from another malibu with less miles on it.

here's a pic of it before the crash.

Welcome Aboard z400! You will find the majority here are 08+ malibu owners however there are some here with pre-new body style malibu's also.

Hope we can be of help and good luck with the repairs. Sounds like it is all mostly just body work....The scrap yard / wreckers can be your friend in these cases!

Welcome dude. I have a 1997 so I can help you with some things. I highly recommend looking into unitedmalibus.com and mpracing.org. both are great site from the 1997-2008 Malibus. Looks like a nice car though, well at least it did LOL!
