I was wondering what was the best product to use when you handwash your car.:D

I just use Mothers car wash and a soft brush. Then I have one of those super soft squeegies to get the bulk of the water off. Finally, I use a chamois to dry the rest. Just don't use dish soap, it will strip the wax off.

I use Turtle Wax Zip car wash with a clean microfiber wash mitt.

I use the Armor All Car Wash. I wash the car with a sponge made for car washing. They say the washing mit is actually better. I had one, but I feel I have more control with the sponge.

I had actually used a mild dishwashing detergent for my previous cars with no ill effects. But they say that dishwashing detergents have grease fighters in them that will strip the wax.

Now, I only use products that are made specifically to wash cars. One product is probably as good as the next.

I had always used a mild dishwashing detergent for my previous cars such as Polmolive. I waxed the car pretty often, so there wasn't a problem. But now, I only use Car Washing Detergent.

Polmolive will strip the wax right off, stay with the car wash. ;)

I wash my Bu with Meguiars Gold Class car wash and a MF mitt, I dry it with a waffleweave MF towel. once it all dry i'll go over it with a leaf blower and blow out all the nooks and cranies(grille, windows, mirrors and wheels) ;)

I use Meguiar's gold Class too, with a foamer canister to put the soap on if I'm doing a full wash and coat of wax. (not the fancy one, just the $15 from amazon that operates using your hoses pressure.)

If I'm doing a quick Wash and Dry I use Optimum No Rinse Wash and Shine but I do rinse with distilled water from a 1gal garden sprayer ($7 at menards) right before I dry.

I use a Waffle Weave to dry also.
