hello. my last two leases have been great deals. now since pontiac is gone i tryed a different dealer. i was looking at the malibu lt2 with the 4 cylinder engine. they asked me what i was willing to spend for a lease. i told him 300 a month with zero down. and the guy was like yeah that shouldnt be a problem. he came back with a 48 month lease zero down for 369 a month. i then told him that wasnt even close! after about 30 min of lowering the price, he takes me to his manager. he said i was getting a deal of a lifetime, 36 months 1500 down, 351 a month. and he said he was even loosing money on the car. yeah right!! i just left. what do you guys think? i think i am going to wait for the new regal.

they also said with all of the incentives i had over 4000 dollars off. that just seems like a lot for a 4 cyl car. i am coming from a v6 g6 for 267 a month with zero down.

Sounds like a bit much, for a little bit more you could almost own the car....LOL!

Why you wanna lease?

i just like having a new car every three years. so is this the ballpark i am going to expect when i go to another dealership?

so do you think was it really true that the guy was loosing money on this deal?

Nope. They're not in business to lose money, and his boss would have his hide if he did that.

i am wondering that i made a mistake of telling the salesman that my goal was 300 a month with zero down. should i have i just told him, do the best that you can do for me?

Find a friend with excellent negotiating skills, pay for a dinner and evening out for them and their significant other (or heck, with you!), and have them represent you at the dealership while you sit there listening and learning.
