Hello everyone,

I usually use AC Delco Oil filters when changing my oil for my 2010 2LT 2.4L Malibu

Curious to know if anyone knows where to buy these in bulk (online?) for a cheaper price (running $8.99 for one at my local place).

If people aren't using delco filters, what are you using and where you able to buy them in bulk somewhere for cheaper?

Thanks
Quaf

I've been using RockAuto. They charge shipping from each warehouse, so you have to be careful (as you load stuff into the shopping cart, you'll see little truck icons with A, B, C, and so on). If you can get several items from one warehouse, it usually works out to be cheaper than anywhere else. I got several ACDelco oil filters, a couple of ACDelco air filters, a K-Tool 73618 oil filter wrench (Lisle 14700 twin), and odds and ends last time. Put 30415472025207 in the "How did you hear about us" line of the shopping cart to get a 5% discount. The code should be good through 06/06.

That price is even better than what I paid. Glad it worked out for you.

I paid only 4.50 each at my Advanced Auto Part store. The filter is made in US and looks very decent to me. It is funny that Walmart is selling the same AC filter at a greater price ($8). But It is made in Bulgary and looks very ugly.

That is a great price. Did I miss a recent sale or something? I avoid going to Advance Auto. I hate stepping on oil and grease spots in the parking lot. I once saw some guy with his car jacked up, working on his brakes, even.

Bought a case at the dealership. Thankfully they fit both vehicles... They were $65 for the case of 12. $5.42 each including tax.

That is the regular price. They are never on sale. I have changed my oil for two years now and never had any troubles to find these filters in my local Advanced Auto Parts stores. Furthermore, there are 3 stores within 3 miles where I live and their parking lots all look clean to me ;) Last year, I decided to use the Super Tech filter from Walmart because it has the rubber O ring and it looked very decent too (made in Korea). But the new one from Super Tech (9018) now looks ugly and made in China

I'll give AA a try next time, as soon as I use up my stash of ~15 (:().

If you use synthetic oil, and change oil every 6 months like I do, it would be 7 years until you try AA. I hope they are still in business at that time :D

I've got two ECOTEC cars but I'm open to adding another one or two on account of already having enough oil filters.:D:D

i find it funny when people do work on cars in front of a parts store. most places actually do not allow it beyond replacing wiper blades.

i buy only AC delco filters for all 6 cars in my driveway that belong too everyone in my family. i was shocked by the price of the malibu filter, as its the first car to have filter without a metal casing. but i will look into the rock auto in the future to buy batches of them.
