Hi all. Finaly had a chance to wash and wax my Malibu today. First time since last summer. Bought the Eagle One Gel Wax with Carnuba at Advance Auto. Went on easy enough. Took Forever to remove. Had to drive to my fathers house to use his garage. Thought it would be a quick shine. Boy was I Mistaken. Had to use a buffer on most of it. Has a nice reflection. But I think the PAI to remove is going to make me return it. And just stick to the Meguires Cleaner Wax. Look at it in the morning and rewipe the missed spots. Its almost 11pm now and its very dark at my apartment.

Well that sucks, that Meguiars has givin me great results till now. When I run out I now know which one not to buy.

That doesn't sound fun, sounds more like a workout. Just a tip for hard to remove wax, a little detail spray while removing helps take it off with less work. I have been there with all the waxes I have tried. Meguires NXT wax is really easy to put on and remove since it is a sealer and not much is needed for effectiveness. 3M max some easy to use waxes that last long also. Either way as long as you are happy in the end with how the car looks it is worth the hard work to get it there.

Eagle 1 nanowax is a real good product I use spray on and wipe off gives the Bu a real nice shine

Try the New Gold Class paste wax with carnuba, goes on real smooth and comes off easy, the secret is to put on a real light layer of wax and let it dry and always use Microfiber towels for the best results :D

Thanks all. Normally I use Meguire Cleaner Wax (Liquid). But decided to try something else. I will admit, It left a nice reflective surface. I need to wait until the dew dries then check for leftover wax.

It goes product by product, but for paste waxes and products that buff and dry as are being applied, i just take the one minute wait per panel and go panel by panel. If you go all the way around with a paste wax, its nearly impossible to remove.

In the long run, being patient panel by panel is better than zooming it on, then taking hours to get it off. I know the second one from experience; once took about a week off and on, spot checking, etc... to remove a paste wax i put on too thick in my youth/uninformed state back then...

Pretty much all I use is eagle one products, I got hooked on there gel wax its pretty simple to use in my opinion: clean dry car, apply to microfiber towels wipe one, clean microfiber towel wipe off... I also work 1 panel at a time...

I do use Meguiars Claybar kit also, then apply wax about every 3rd week now

I like Black Magics tools (just bought a wheel polisher from them today, will use tomorrow, Sunday)
