I'm a young guy. As said above i drive a 08 Black Ltz. I just ordered some 20'' bentchi b7 rims. I have the ebony brick leather interior and, All i have done to my car so far is tinted windows, 2 memphis 12'' subwoofers and 1000w kenwood amp. I'll have pics up A.S.A.P.

I'm looking for new ideas and accessories to put on my car.

any ideas on what i should do next?.

thanks everyone.

I have 2 links in my signature for some ideas.

I added a CHMSL (center high-mount stop light) pulser. It makes the light pulse for about the first second and then go solid.

I rewired my DRLs so that they no longer use the low beams but the turn signal elements instead.

I have a Poron reversing aid that's easy to install yourself. It speaks in English: 8 feet, 5 feet, 3 feet, 2 feet, 12 inches, Collision.

Then get in and drive and have a blast! Welcome to CMF.

I have a few ideas in my signature also -- I think with the 2008 you should also think about clay barring the car and waxing it with a good carnauba paste wax. Threads have been discussing the clay bar method in the detailing section.

Also, be careful with the CHMSL depending on your locale -- I know they are illegal and a cop magnet in Chicago since the police have them. No flashing lights allowed of any sort.

IMO stay away from the blinking brake lights. Those things drive me crazy. I was behind a new Mustang that had one the other day. He was turning, so I was confronted with the center light flashing and his sequential turn signal going, I didn't know if it was a cop or what was going on, so I just stopped and the pickup truck behind me nearly hit me. People say those things are for safety, but they can be a major distraction to other drivers who may be so shocked or mesmerized by it that they don't react properly.

As far as other mods for you... Eibach makes a set of springs, but IDK how well they work with the 20's. Other than that I dunno... maybe throw a DVD player or PS3 under the passenger seat and wire to a screen in the dash, there really aren't any performance mods available unless you want to go down to the local muffler shop and have them fab you something custom.

PTM those emblems and smoke the lights.

Welcome!

Raineman the unit he is talking about just flashes the center light about 3 times in one second then stays solid. It is pretty effective IMO and doesnt distract. Your mustang friend -- if it kept flashing, made something custom and is a dangerous fool. If you have the top center blinking and the left signal blinking...... is he deciding between a left and straight? Agreed that it's stupid in that case!

My main reason to stay away would be that flashing lights are illegal but I would prefer to have it if I could. After what you saw yesterday though, I'd be as leary as you are about anything similar.

I see the CHMSL device about 3 times a week on cop cars and it is my my account an effective safety device. IIRC, Mercedes had one in pre-production, but had to call it off in the states due to laws of some sort. I barely remember the article. if i find the accurate MFG and such ill post it.

Yeah, they normally blink for the first 3 seconds that the pedal is applied...

Another favorite of mine was a minivan I saw in a traffic jam a long while ago, the driver would roll forward a bit, then hit the brakes, roll forward a bit, then hit the brakes... so the little light was almost constantly blinking. Talk about annoying.

We call them creepers. They insist on creeping up as fast as possible even though it wont help. Just coast... I get so boiled about people who are like FREAKING out and honking because I'm a whole 40 feet behind the car in front of me in traffic and am moving at a coasting pace rather than racing up to slam on my brakes.

I actually saw someones brakes one time that was doing that near downtown that were orange ("red hot"). In stop and go traffic. Minivan.

Yeah... I got a lot of aggravated honks in traffic jams driving the Cobalt. It was a racing clutch which would glaze very easily if you rode it, so I was a big fan of letting there be a 1/8th mile gap ahead of me before I started moving.

Chrome mesh is very classy, and as for HIDs go with 6000K.
