: How much does a set of LT wheels cost?

I have pretty much decided on a new '11 LS Malibu. It has 100% of everything I want, except the wheels. So, if I buy the PFE wheels, like you get on the LT1, from the parts department, how bad will I get soaked? I realize that the price difference between an LS and LT1 is probably less than they will charge for the wheels. But, the LT1 has some cosmetic detailing and electronics I DONT want. Also, I prefer to have genuine Chevy wheels instead of after market. Will I be able to work out a better price if the salesman knows the deal depends on me getting the wheels at a sane price?

They cost more than you will want to spend. Factory branded wheels are always a ripoff.

Look around on tirerack or check a local shop... odds are you can find something similar or better looking for a lot less money.

Thanks, but I am an old guy with more money than sense. I REALLY want the PFE wheels. $1500 for a set of 4?

Moving to correct section.

And what wheels are you talking about? The chrome ones? If so they are just chrome hubcaps. Not true wheels.

Thanks. No, the 5 spoke aluminum ones that are standard on the 2011 LT1. Here is a pic. The GM order guide identifies them with a code of "PFE". You can click on the close up of the wheel shot and get a bigger image.

Those are the wheels I have on my car and they are the reason I bought the 2LT model, they look really good. The part number is 9596799, and if you where to buy them from GMPARTSDIRECT.com they are $389.13 a wheel with shipping. But I would double check that part number with a dealer because usually GM part numbers have 8 digits, and that number only has 7. Plus that website is charging a $50 core, which I do not understand why a wheel would have a core on it. But I hope that helps.
