I've got a Nikon D80 and used the RAW format. Took 3 different exposures then made an HDR high dynamic range photo. I used Photomatix to make the HDR. It's really cool and addictive...

Oh yea I also used a wide angle lens....and was about 12" from the bumper when I took the picture..

Yea, if it is a digital SLR then it should have the raw format. It's basically a photo with no exposure settings and usually the largest format picture the camera can take. Enjoy...

Lucky for me, I live in 1 out of the 18 states that don't require a front license plate. To me, the front license plate ruins the front look of any car.

which lowering kit did you use jon? and yea how low did you go? also, hows the ride on that now? i lowered my cavy using the eibach springs and kyb but the ride came out horrible heh

it was lowered 1.4"'s. bough eibach pro kit $268 plus installation, great ride quality not much different than stock. handling is much better, plus under hard braking and/or acceleration no nose dives or uplifts in front end. i feel more confident going into turns because of smooth transition through turn afyer installing kit.

LOL... I uploaded the wrong pic. I live in a townhouse community, and (of course) they have to cram as many units in as possible. There are utility boxes all over the place, and no guest parking :(. I'll take more pictures once I find new rims.

I saw that you did, those were pretty nice. And I doubt they would have noticed, you could have just stood in front of one wheel and your wife in front of the other while they looked at the car!

I had a black '09 and wanted the red one after I saw my first one. After a year and a half of the dealer screwing up my car every time they touched it, I traded it in at a different dealer and now have an '11 RJT. In the daytime I could just stand there and look at it for a while!

Just the way it should be on a Malibu. We had the same one on ours, but I got it from Ebay for 1/3 the price. ;)

Yeah same with me on both accounts. I got mine on GMs ebay liquidation page for $50 and my dad and I installed it. On a classy car like the Malibu, subtle is the best way to go. It looks really slick in person and adds just enough sporty detail to the rear of the car.

This is what I've got so far not sure what I'm doing next. Tinted windows 20% all the way around. Matched bow ties front and back. Took pics with the iphone. I will try to get better pictures with my slr camera after I clean it up.

It just arrived today and already have to return it more than likely :( The light is loose on one side to the point there is an inch to two inch gap between it and the spoiler. I am going to call carid and see what they say.

Scary part is people come knocking with cash in hand for that storage rack. One of the mounts for the lower control arm separated from the frame other wise it would be my work car instead of a storage rack. We're still good friends although we don't do much anymore. She was still like a rocket when I buried the pedal.

Kind of agree, Malibu wise at least. But wings look great on certain cars, usually ones more "sporty". But on the Malibu a nice small spoiler works well. But as you said, different strokes....

Eh, she has enough chrome for me now. I am not a big chrome fan. I don't even like chrome wheels hence why I'll probably keep my stock rims. I like the way they look too. I would PMT the bowties if she was a different color, but with the chrome and silver I feel the gold/yellow emblem helps balance it a little.

Looks good....only thing I'd change would be the center of the wheels. Maybe a body color center, or painted silver.

Me to, a large number of my cars over the years have been white. I tend to keep my cars for a long time and I have found that white ages the best. In this age of clear coat paint it seems that the darker the color the worse it will look in 7 or 10 years.

Very nice pics! I like the second one from down low like that the best, and the last one is really nice at that angle and height and with no lines in the road. Those blue badges are the perfect color for your car, too! Nice job, thanks for sharing. :)

Thanks! I found those on craigslist right after I bought the car. Got them from a wheel shop. They only had 6 miles on them, and had been sitting in the owners garage since '07. $250 bought all 4... They sat another year and a half in my garage. :) So glad I finally got them mounted.

Quite a few of my neighbors were commenting as the project progressed. A guy across the street with a Caddy CTS (2.8L V6) came over and talked a while. He specifically mentioned the grilles and said he thought they were factory. I shared how I arrived at the finished product.

To do the chrome strip mod you use chrome door edge molding.

Driven compelled me to do the full treatment on my car as well, and I ended up getting one of my favorite pics out of it. Clay bar, liquid wax, more liquid wax:D

The ride is pretty good, you do notice a few more bumps, but nothing major. If anything I drive more cautiously now, which can never be bad thing.

There is room for a drop, quite a few guys on here have a similar set up as myself and have dropped theirs anywhere from 1" to 1.4". Most have used Eibach from what I have seen. I'm considering doing this after the winter season, as I do not want my front bumper to become a snow plow lol

If I look closely to your "signature" I see the exact same wheels...
Why don't you try it... Carbon fiber imitation vinyl is 15$ a yard and you have enough of 1 yard to do the 4 wheels...and 2 bow ties... :cool:

I looked at the daytime and thought, "That looks sharp." but failed to realized the blacked out chrome areas at first. Thanks for pointing that out.

I'm pretty interested in more info on the LED fog lamps below, that does look great with the HID lights. :)

I finally have a photo of my Malibu to share. My car is a 2012 1LT that I bought new at the end of February. I keep my cars very stock looking (OEM+ is my style) but very clean.

To date, I've had the windows tinted to 30%, added WeatherTech All-Weather mats for winter and blacked out the bowties with vinyl. The only future mods I am considering are driving lights, but only if I can have them look completely stock.
