I did own a used Ford Ranger (3.0 v6 5spd manual) a few years back. It was an ok truck but, even with a v6 and manual transmission I only got about 19 mpg, the 3.0 had no power and the transmission burned up @ 120k miles. Not dumping on Ford just my only non GM experience. FenwickHockey65 07-20-2008, 06:11 PM I'm loyal to GM through and through. Our only non-GM ever has been a Mercedes. Sunroof leaked, body rusted, then my mom crashed it into a ditch. My dad replaced it with the Saturn. Pizza Man 07-20-2008, 06:47 PM With the exception of my Honda Ridgeline and a Plymouth Barracuda that I married into, all my vehicles have been GM. Starting with my first car, '53 Pontiac Chieftan. I'm not that old, I bought it used. ;) I have never had any reservations buying GM. Here are the cars I have owned... 1) 1982 Chevrolet Chevette (6,000 original km's - Bought it when I was 16) 2) 1989 Chevrolet Beretta (5 spd manual - Car was ALOT OF FUN!) 3) 1994 Pontiac Sunbird (Got me back and forth to college) 4) 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (3.1L - Was a fun car but needed more HP) 5) 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix SE (3.8L - Fun car to drive and enough HP to for my liking) 6) 2009 Chevrolet Malibu (Don't own it yet....Still waiting to take delivery) | ||
