: Floor Mats
Pizza Man 04-07-2008, 06:37 PM I've been waiting for these to become available. I've been checking weekly and this is the first I've noticed them available. A bit pricey, but they are an exact fit.

As well as here in SE Pa. I'm also waiting for them to come out with their window visors. Hopefully that'll be soon.

I have no personal experience with them, Scott. I've heard good things from others. I will update this thread with more research on Floor Mat availability.
I heard just this morning that Weathertech may be supplying stock sized mats that are close to the required Malibu size, but not custom fit. For that kind of money, I would want a custom fitted mat.
I'm going to change the title of this thread, so it's not just dedicated to Weathertech.
Stay tuned!
08MalibuLeaser 04-08-2008, 05:51 AM What kind of $$$ are we talking here?
What kind of $$$ are we talking here?
$159 for the set of four.
I paid a little under $100 for these GM mats from my dealer.

They are nice, but do not cover as much floor as the Weathtech.
There is another brand out there I think it is Husky?

Pizza Man 04-08-2008, 04:18 PM So far I found out that Weathertech offers two different type Floor Mats. There is the All Weather Mat which is cheaper and may require trimming, then there is their Floor Liner System which is custom cut for the '08 Malibu and more expensive. The $159 mat is the Floor Liner System and includes all four mats.
There are many suppliers out there. I'll continue the research and post my results.
jasbre 04-08-2008, 05:29 PM As well as here in SE Pa. I'm also waiting for them to come out with their window visors. Hopefully that'll be soon.
Ditto on the window visors. Although, I wonder how they will look with the crome trim around the windows.
jedijome 04-16-2008, 03:01 PM i really like those floor liners that they have on sale. i'm tempted to get them.

cerbomark 07-04-2008, 07:35 PM mine will be in in a few days. I order ed the ones that cover the whole front foot wells. I do this on all my cars. They are usually great. $99.oo
Schwartz 07-05-2008, 09:28 PM I'm wondering how they will work with the floor anchor hole. I thought I read that they use any factory anchors and if so I wonder if water will get in the hole and then get trapped under there unable to evaporate.

JJones_86 07-09-2008, 09:36 AM I am liking these weathertech floor liners. I looked at them awhile back and they seem like they would work perfectly. It looks like they cover more than the GM ones. Let us know if you get them.

mrbill 07-09-2008, 10:26 PM The weathertech mats are great, used to have some.
Here are a couple of sites that build to suit. You can pick the stitching, put in custom text and logo's. Also add a HEEL PAD which are great for protecting shoes and carpet below. Many colors

DOACanada 07-11-2008, 12:50 PM mr.bill - Thanks....
Anyone have a line on a good set of premium floormats for the '08 Malibu? I don't know what GM was thinking about on those rear mats but I have kids! I'm not looking for the rubber all weather types by the way. The fronts are great I'd just like some in the rear that actually match the floor layout and don't look like some generic square!
FenwickHockey65 07-11-2008, 09:33 PM GM has never made floor mats suitable for kids. You can pick up some decent ones at Walmart. Unfortunately, I've never seen any that actually follow the layout of the rear seating area.
What you can do is buy this carpet-ish stuff and lay it down over the existing carpet. It takes freaking forever, but it preserves your original carpeting and keeps it clean.
bluedeuce4 07-13-2008, 07:04 PM Got my Weathertech mats. These things are fantastic, great fit and the grey matches spot on.Great coverage.Go for it you will not be sorry.
