: Who here has a Malibu with expired XM service?

The big question I'm trying to get answered, is what happens to your XM bands once the service has ended? Can you still pick up channels 0 or 1? I can't get my XM to recognize at all.

Thanks

I let the free trial expire for a few weeks before signing up for the $77 special. My radio definitely tuned to both of those channels (and a few others, which I failed to pay attention to- see other posts about your problem for someone who evidently did, lol). In fact, I had been using XM when the trial expired, and the next time I turned on the radio it tuned itself to 1.

Damn Bucky, seems like your Malibu's XM is jacked. Mine still tunes to both channels.

XM 1 should still be available.

XM has expired in our Malibu and it still picks up channels 0 and 1.

Well I went to the dealer and they just reset my radio. Everything works now, and it looks like I have 3 months of XM free :)

Haha nice. Maybe your radio should break down more often!

BuckyFan - Just out of curiosity did they show you how to reset the radio? Maybe something useful to know in the future.
