His question from another forum is this...

My Temperature gage and my fuel gage reads zero. They were working fine this morning. When I was heading home I noticed both gages were zero. I knew that I had a half tank of gas. I stopped and gassed up and it only took 7 gallons. I checked the fuse panels on the left & right doors plus the one in the engine compartment. I couldn't see any blown fuses. Most of the warning lights do not come on when I turn on the ignition. I think it is a fuse but I can't tell which one. Any ideas?

This is on his 1998 Malibu. That's all the info I have but I have also directed him to this website in hopes that he ask for himself. He initially had the impression that the forum only catered to the new Malibu (informed him otherwise).
In the meantime, any help from all of you would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Usually there are two fuse boxes, one in the engine compartment and the other inside the car. Also had he picked up the Haynes manual for his car? May give him some more detailed information of where to look.

Problem solved. Turns out it was a fuse marked "Air Conditioning". Thanks :)
