Hi guys, new to the forum. Not a Malibu owner but wouldn't mind having one.

I was driving behind a Malibu today and noticed that they have LED taillights. However, they are not like other LED lights that I've seen. These ones look like they have a single bulb and manage to illuminate the lense. LEDs are very directional which is why there is usually a strip of LEDs inside the taillight housing. They simply point backwards and don't actually illuminate the lense. Can someone tell me what kind of LED "bulbs" they are using in these taillights? Perhaps someone has a part number?

Yes, I realize that. Never the less, the LEDs on that website are still directional and most can only point straight backwards.

I would still like to know what GM uses in their taillights. Can someone with LTZ pull out the bulb and maybe snap a pic?

check out my thread on how to obtain the led housing on the LTZ. I even got reverse LED bulbs that light up the housing too.
