For the Group Buy, checks or Money Orders. Remember, this is not a go unless I have a minimum of 40 buyers. I am the gate keeper, so to speak, and it's my responsibility to ensure we do in fact have the 40. Once we do, it's my responsibility to forward each order and payment as a group. You are right about the packages and getting the part #'s. Getting on group buy's like this (I'm one of the 6 people) is the best way to go if it all possible. I understand a lot of people already have them but if you don't this is really a great deal.

Want to get them sooner? If they want 40 different customers then those that are getting 2 or 3 sets use someones else name for the other set. You can use a spouse, girlfriend, brother or friend's name to help add to the count. It sounds like the shipping cost of $18 is for each set. So if you buy 2 sets it's going to be $36 for shipping, so why not split it. Send one to your address and another to a someone/friend close to you. Heck send it to you next door neighbor (if you get along with them).

I thought so two. The OP said 40 sets but than post #30 said the e-mail wanted 40 customers. I can see in a way why they want 40 customers as 1 or 2 people could possibly buy 40 sets and resell them. But than again there really isn't that much of a savings to warrant someone trying to resell them.

I would agree that they have likely set the threshold at 40 sets for them to be able to turn a decent profit at the discount rate. They are likely estimating based on 1 set per customer as it is hard to estimate the number of sets for 40 customers.

Is there anyway to confirm this? We are likey close to 40 based on the response so far.

I think you're looking for a cargo liner for a different vehicle. One that WT doesn't have a custom fit mat.

That's because you got different product sets/categories. I got $18 shipping for 2 sets of mats (same product) , but if I was to add the mud flaps (different product) they will add another $15 for shipping.

WT's shipping special applies only to their floor liner mat sets, and cargo liners when purchased along with mats.

Bug Deflectors and/or window visors ship separately and are not included in the shipping special. They do qualify for the discount, however.

It's not necessary, Len. If you want to add it to the order form, please do. The order form also requests your phone number. If WT has any problem with your order, they'll call.

For any of you guys on the fence, now is the time to decide.

We can now start the collection process.

First, go the the Weathertech Order Form link in my signature. It will send you back to post 114. There, you will find a pdf link to the order form. Print the form and fill it out. The form will be sent, along with your check to Weathertech. Be sure to double check your entries. You are responsible for entering the correct part numbers and costs. PM me if you have any questions filling out the form. Remember, the form you complete will be the order form Weathertech will work from in completing your purchase. Malibu Mats come in single and dual post versions. Be sure you order the correct Mats.

Secondly, attach your Check to the Form. Once all the checks have been received, I will send them, Priority Mail, to Weathertech. Checks are made payable to MacNeil Automotive Products, LTD. As I receive your checks, I will update the first post in this Thread, next to your screen name.

Third, the sooner I send them the order the sooner they start to manufacture and ship. Please don't be the buyer responsible for delaying the process. In past Group Buys Weathertech has never used any particular order shipping out their mats. I cannot guarantee delivery dates. Rest assured Weathertech will ship them. My guess is the last of the mats will be delivered within 3 weeks of order entry. Most will ship sooner. Weathertech doesn't stock the DigitalFit Mats, they are made to order.

Lastly, I will be happy to intervene, on your behalf, if there are any problems.

I just joined up here, my dad has floor liners in his sierra, and they don't make them for my 96 (sure wish they did). I believe state tax should be after the discounts. States can't tax on amount that isn't actually transacted. As nobody would pay the invoice price while paying tax on the MSRP amount when buying a vehicle.

odyguy is correct. The sales tax is computed on the discounted cost before shipping.

The Sales Tax applies only to Illinois residents.

I didn't see this asked in the thread, but maybe I missed it in the 170+ posts.. When they ship the orders, will we be contacted in any way (perhaps via the email address they asked for) so that we know the order is on its way?

With the holidays coming up and people traveling to see relatives and things, it would be nice to at least know when the order shipped, so we can have a rough idea as to when it might arrive..

This is my 3rd Weathertech Group Buy and 6th Group Buy overall. This is the only one with "check in the mail" receiving problems. :confused:

Just for the record, I forgot to mention yesterday, the Post Office confirms the initial order entry will be delivered Monday morning.

My Weathertech experience has shown their deliveries are scattered, at best. There is no rhyme or reason to how they set the production runs. Also, those of you who have ordered window visors or deflectors, etc. along with mats will probably see them before the mats.
