Alright so today I was an hour away from home with my girlfriend and we were driving into an Arby's parking lot and I ran over this curb hard as **** and blew both right side tires.

Luckily my girl has AAA so her room mate came and picked her up to go get her card haha and she came back and we called AAA and the wrecker came and he changed my tire and was loading it onto the wrecker and hit my front bumper, scarped it, and broke the very bottom plastic piece under the front brumper partially off.

I was real mad, then he said to me "I'll give you $10 to fix it, and I said no, they he gave me his cell # and said I'll come to your house and fix it and again I said no just give me your insurance info and we'll get it sorted out later because I had to go buy two new tires today aswell... So we switched info..

And during the time he was changing my back tire he asked my gf to sign a damage waiver and he handed it to her and she didn't have a pen so she didn't sign it and a few minutes later she asked for a pen and he said sign it later. Then while her and I were sitting in the dude's truck I saw the waiver and I told her to push it up under a book because I figured he would see it and ask her to sign it then even after he damaged my car. What would you have done?

I understand the guy is tryin to make a living and stuff but dang bro, you need to know what you're doing if you're in that line of work.

I'll post some pictures here in a few after she emails them to me..

To be exact, it's not AAA but the tow truck operator who messed up. Have you gotten in touch with whoever owns/operates the tow truck? They are the ones liable in these cases. All the same, sorry to hear of your misfortunes.:(

BTW, it sounds like considerable lateral forces were involved for the tires to get ripped. You probably want to get the alignment checked out.

It was a AAA wrecker. And when I took my car to firestone I get new tires, got all of them balanced and the old ones rotated to the front and stuff.

OUCH! Good move on your part to ignore the waiver, don't wait too long to contact the operator of that tow truck so they can fix up the car asap.

I'll probably contact my insurance company tomorrow while I'm at work to see how to go about this because this situatuion is so messed up it was unbelievable. I'm just glad I kept a level head because I blew up when I first did it and when he offered me $10 I almost lost it again lol.. That's just an insult though you know?

No reason for the car to get damaged like that, the man clearly didn't know what he was doing or it was that time of his work day where he could care less. I guess he might have to learn the hard way and pay up for his mistake though.

I agree. I wouldn't let him get away with anything! Protecting the car you're towing is part of his job.

Man, I would be PISSED. I would call his boss, AAA and your insurance ASAP.

Man, that looks scratched pretty good. What part of the lift hit it to scratch such a wide section?
Are you sure you didn't........ hit a curb?

I've seen a neighbor loose a tire after hitting a sharp edge of a decorative curb. He has backing into his driveway bumped a sidewall of a rear passenger tire...it got ripped and was flat within a second or two.
