im just wondering if anyones tried that


i got some used rims and tires here just a week ago,,and they had 225 35 20 tires on them
my rims,,20 X 8.5 with a 38 offset

im gonna get 245 35 20 since so many run these with no issues

but im seeing people run some 22's with 235 30 22 tires

so overall diam is 27.55 for 22's and 27.72 for the 20's
im going off these measurements off discount tire direct


of course sidewall is a taller(which is what i want)
and width is a tad wider

i know you have to account for width increasing along with the total height of the tire,,but im thinkin it may work

does anyone think id run into issues runnin those 245 35 20 tires
rather then 245 35 20??

my goal is just a bigger sidewall to hope this protects the rim a bit more

now that i have had a little time to check prices on the 40 series tires,,i see that they are a good 25-50$ more then 35 series tires

wonder why that is,lol

o well it looks like ill stick with 35 series unless i find a good deal,and can be sure there will be no rubbing issue

any thoughts are still wanted

Dude if I was you I would get 235/35-20's
