Hey everyone hope everyone is doing good.

I been noticing this type of sound on my Malibu lately.

It sounds like a delayed breathing sound coming from the engine as i am coming to a stop.

When i stop quickly at lights or stop signs it sounds like the engine is exhaling (maybe its reving down) for a few seconds then turns quiet.

Not sure what this could be hopefully you guys know what im talking about.

Hopefully its a normal thing.

Let me know what you think

Thanks

DO you have the AC or defrost on when this happens? Or the heater? Try it with it on and with it off and see if you can reproduce both times. I have a feeling it may be the HVAC accounting for the lower revs being given off the engine. Likely the compressor more than the heater, but it could still be the fans working with that lowered power.

I have had intermittant funny things I've noticed. I dont think we have a large enough alternator for the EPS and Onstar and all the other gadgets PLUS the car and drivetrain itself sometimes...

Hmm, if there were a case for a video capture, this would be it.
