Hi, I was watching 'The Surrogates' and in the car chase scene where they used a Malibu, the malibu had steelies with centre caps like the cops have. I have switched over to winter wheels and have been looking everywhere to try and cover the centre bolt that looks ridiculous. The movie gave me hope but I can not find anything. Any ideas?

I want to do exactly the same thing. After some web research, I found the 5X110 stud pattern we have on our Gen 7 is shared by earlier versions or Intrigues/Aleros if my memory serves me right. I tried to narrow it down to S10s or such.

No luck so far,

The bolt pattern for the;

Alero - 5 x 115
S10 - 5 x 120

The cars that share our bolt pattern are Cobalts SS, Saturn (Ion, Aura), SAAB and HHR.

I have been searching high and low for something.

Don't forget the Solstice and the Sky.

Believe me, i have checked Ebay, Centrecaps.net, hubcity....etc...

I haven't had any luck. The only ounce of hope I have, is from the movie that I watched. I am sure they customized them to suit the movie.

Do you think that 5 x 112 will fit on 5 x 110? I found some generic VW centre caps that might work. Just not sure if the 2mm differnce will be an issue.

I felt the same way when I saw that movie. I've done extensive research as to how this could be re created. Here in Sarasota Fl the sheriffs have the new 9c1 police impala's and they have the same wheel setup from the movie. The steelies with the chrome center caps. Maybe if you could find a set of those and they fit?

Hi, I hope it's not to late to help you. I also wanted same wheels. After little research, I found that the bolts pattern were the same that Saturn serie "L" 1997 to 2002 (5X110mm) that screwed to the wheels bolts.

I bought 4 steels wheel (jobbers). I found a set of 4 from Ebay, manage a little spacer between the bolt cap and the cap to sit them in place and VOILA!! I know it not exactly the same that 9C1 but believe me, the world will think that your car is a real police car!!!! Mine is terrific!!! (The hole is for my locknut!!!!) :) Look at the pictures. You can get an idea. As soon I'll put my winter tires, I'll take another shot and post it!!!

Hi there, that is great News. I did a lot of research and couldn't come up with anything. Good for you. Although, I don't want my car to look like a cop car.... I just can't stand the exposed rusty centre bolt in the winter time when I have my snows on. It makes the vehicle look cheap.

What did you mean by a little spacer?

Right, a car without a hub cap or center cap look really cheap.

I had to used a rubber spacer (DIY) between the bolted cap and the center cap itself. Without the spacer, there's a space between the center cap and the steel wheel and when the wheel spin, you can hear some "click" coming from the wheels.

Best looking "cop car" I've ever seen! ;)

Ya just gotta do something in the winter to protect those nice summer rims, even if it means lookin' like Da Man!

I like that look. It kinda reminds me of the malibu cop car in my area, without all the lights of course.
