If I am going to sell my Chevy Malibu... Hey Hey! I am not saying that it's really for sale!! I am still keeping it unless anything changes my mind... and no it's still not for sale! (sorry alot of ppl wants to buy my car!)

I am just asking all of you to tell me what value I should put on my car? A lot of my friends told me at least $6000 on my car... and one guy told me it should be at least $8000!
So How much do you think my car's worth??????

Well I bought my 2009 1LT for $13,300. It had 36k on it..

Well I already researched on it for awhile and the most thing I can get out of it was up to 3500 if selling it to dealer... 2500 to people... unless if they want a custom Malibu then it might be higher than that... I don't think I really will get much out of it if i try to sell it... I spent about 10k on my Malibu (including 2500 for buying it) so I don't think it's totally worth selling... unless if someone wants to pay as much as i had spent on it and then they are more than welcome! Anyway for that thing it might be better if I part it out and then it might will be more higher value than 3500, but I don't want to do that because I love my Malibu!

Doesn't matter how much you put into it. Unless you find someone who wants exactly what you have, in some cases it will lower value. KBB on your car is about $3500. IMO you would be lucky to get $4500-$5000.

Yeah that's what I was thinking... Thanks for your opinion... I do agree with you on that... it's just that few ppl came up and asked me how much I want to sell it... I told them it's not for sale but it made me think... how much do I want to sell it?? I figured if he wants my car that bad then he had to up the ante because I have too much pride in it and lots of memories with it... So I figured 5K might be good price unless he thinks it's more than that...

I did recall another guy came up to me and told me that he wants to buy it for $10K, and of course I was like "Sure let's talk, Cash only or forget it" He said "Check, I will write it out for ya" I don't really trust check because it could be a hot check or something so I was like "Forget it, Cash only." and he walked away... Well now that makes me think if it's really a good check then I will be damned... wish I could get that 10K and just use it to get myself a good old Skyline GTR... But yeah I don't think it's good idea to take a check anyway... I just don't trust that and he refused to give me a cash? Yeah I think it's a bad check... He might be trying to steal my car, it's just my opinion...

Well there's lowering kits (Eibach Spring kits) I swapped the motor (from 2.4 inline 4 to 3.1 V6) and had to fix 3.1 motor since it got broken gasket and the coolant got mixed with oil... which cost me alot... some modifications on motor as well, cold air intake, upgraded spark plugs and wires and such... (Basic tuning) and custom headliner... you know where the cd player was? now it's in the headliner... and for sound system (if i include it with car for sale...) it's like 15 inch Kicker CVX 2000 watts subwoofer, Mono channel block Fusion Amp 1500 watts... and a subwoofer box that i built for it... all of that cost me like a thousand dollars... projector headlights, euro taillights, shaved antenna, painted interior (black and green) and finally... custom paint... So i think that's pretty very customized with everything i have in my Malibu...

That's why i got offered 8k and high value before because they wanted what i have in my malibu

Lol yeah Well i do like 3800 too! Yeah you can't have them all... but one day I want to do top swap on my 3.1 and make it to be like little bit more custom motor... making it to be either 3.4 or 3.5 and get some stuff from Blazer that have some stuff that could fit in that motor and use 68 mm throttle body from blazer too... i bet it would give much more power... and i want to turbo it up too... I already found Blazer donor... my best friend have it and he said he don't have a use for it and he won't mind to give me some stuff and help me with top swap... What do you think?

Well for blazer motor parts... If Pistons and Piston Rings will fit then GREAT, Headers will be swapped, Throttle body will be swapped (from 56mm throttle body to blazer's 68mm throttle body)... might have to swap Ignition Coil because of Headers and and spark plugs might be different too, and then get some stuff that is from 3.4 that is similar to 3.1... my friend told me with all of that stuff... might be 3.5 liter after we are done with it... It's possible and i heard it's successful... heard it will increase lot of power, comparing from 160 hp and 190 torque ft/lb to 300 hp and 330 torque ft/lb average is a big upgrade without turbocharger... if i do want to get turbocharger i might just go ahead and bore it and somehow try to make it to be good motor for very strong turbocharger... i am hoping i could pull up to 500 hp at least... just that that motor have lots of potentials in it... just need to know how to swap some parts and make it fit and all of that... it's pretty possible to get so much power out of it if we do it right...
