Hey guys, I am looking to upgrade my steelies with the chrome covers for the LTZ rims. I've looked at alot of aftermarket, but nothing really catches my attention like the 18" LTZ rims. Sooo my question is this, I found these rims on Ebay and am wondering if they are worth it? I sent them an e-mail and asked them if they were the OEM rims or if they are aftermarket look alikes, the add doesn't specify. Anyone one here deal with this seller? It looks like they are a big rim dealer on Ebay. Also if I do end up getting them I will need tires, any suggestions? I haven't read much, but what I did, I noticed that the stock tires didn't impress many of you guys. Thanks!

That is a good deal for those wheels assuming they are made nicely. It shows under description that they are aftermarket replica wheels made to factory specs. I love the style of the LTZ wheels, and they fit the car perfectly.

As for tires, like you said the factory goodyear eagle LS2 tires are junk for any weather. My preferences for year round use would go to either Michelin hydroedge or Goodyear assurance tripletreads. I have used the Goodyear tripletreads in the past and they are great in all types of weather and last a long time too.

Haha after I read your post I re-read the add and saw they are replica's. That's what I was worried about to, is if they are not made right or something. Thanks for your input, I do like the LTZ rims, my steelies are nice with the chrome cover. Nobody seems to be able to figure out they are steelies under there! lol

Get those LTZ rims and have them chrome plated. That would look great!

I dont know if you read it, but they do not include center caps either, so keep that in mind

I put the tripletreads on my HHR and really like them. My LTZ will get them before next winter.

What keeps you from going to the Chevy dealer and asking for an upgrade? They have all the rims available and will probably charge just the exchange price, unless I'm mistaken.

I already tried that lol, that wanted 1500 just for the rims. There was a core charge but only if I had the same rim, and then it wasn't much... Yeah I figured I would have to get the center caps, lugs, and sensors so ill have a little more into them then.

I went to my local dealership and they wanted $1,800 just for the WHEELS....ummm no. I am going to pay no more than $900 for used wheels AND tires. LOL.

Yeah, I figured they would be a fortune! Then you need the TPMS and chrome lugs and the center caps... But I did get those rims, they look exactly like the OEM rims and look nice. They were alittle 500 after shipping and taxes, now I still had to buy the pressure sensor's lugs and center caps, but for 500$ thats not bad imo. The only problem is you flip them over and they say "made in china"...

Those wheels in Ebay took my attention too. Where are you getting your center caps from?

Actually im still working on the center caps... I got some on Ebay, seller said they were for all 2010 malibu trim levels. Should have known better, they are nice caps but their 3" diameter and the ones needed are 2 1/4". Im going to return them and get the right ones. I paid 60$ for them and they are wrong. I called the dealer and they want 26 a piece. But I did find them on gm parts direct for 20 a piece, so that's probably where ill get them.

There's a picture of the rims, they are replicas but look like the factory ones.

I ended up getting my center caps from the dealer, they should be in tomorrow. I was debating on where to get them, but I want to get these on asap! I also was checking out gm parts direct and they wont accept the caps back since they are special order, and the dealer will. So since I wasn't sure they were the right part on part direct I decided to pay extra to make sure I didn't get stuck with them. Now just waiting on my tires to come in and I can get these beauties on and get some pics up!

Yeah I saw yours Driven! That sucks, they don't look as good without the polished surface. I was debating on painting the inside black and leaving the surface polished, then re-clearcoat them. I think they would look good then, and then they'd be unique.

For free?:D I am drawn between getting aftermarket 18's or replacing the two damaged wheels on my car. Be sure to post up pictures of whatever wheels you are getting, I am sure they will look good on your car.
