: 08+ Body Kit
NJMalibuman 09-02-2008, 05:06 AM Hey guys, I don't know if you have seen this yet but you now have a body kit for the 2008+ Malibus. Its a nice one, giving the car a new aggressive look with still keeping the classiness of the car. If I had an 08 I would really be eye this one up.

What do you mean this month? Its september now;) LOL!
In The Shadows 09-02-2008, 05:22 PM It looks hot. I'd get it if I had money to burn.
But my money is tight and my pockets aren't LOL.
Malo83 09-02-2008, 11:22 PM I'll pass, don't care for the Tacked on look and for that price should have come with some sort of spoiler or lip for the trunk lid ;)
Just my $.02 :D
malibudragon 09-06-2008, 01:20 PM Wow thats crazy nice. I really like that

Agreed. Not that it's terrible, and is cleaner than most, but the Malibu is such a looker in every regard straight from the factory, in every model, that anything like this really does just look like tacked on and excess.

Pass here too, accessories really add up too. Extra for dual valence, extra for a fake tip (not into that at all), extra painted.....the total would be on up there! If anyone does get this and has a stock valence....well, never mind, shipping would cost more. Still waiting on back ordered dual exhaust and will need a stock dual valence.
nhance 09-17-2008, 07:24 AM I'm going to save up for the dual exhaust and valence. It might take a while, but it will be worth it.
DOACanada 09-17-2008, 01:42 PM OUCH! A little pricey!!! But I do like it.

Got mine, installed it, expensive, but what a great look. Really happy I did it! Parts #s on a dual exhaust post in here.
ctuzzolino 10-02-2008, 06:28 PM Can you post pictures of your Malibu with the mods?
nhance 10-03-2008, 12:38 AM Hey! I seen a 09' Malibu LS at the dealership yesterday with the body kit on it and it looks very nice. It also had the 18" factory chrome wheels on it too. Looks very sharp. I want the body kit on my Bu' now! You have to see it in person to really appreciate it. Pics won't do it for you. It also had the 3 pc. chrome grille too. I'm getting it on mine real soon.
ctuzzolino 10-03-2008, 11:04 AM Are you talking about the Razzi body kit? Or did the dealership use a different kit?
nhance 10-06-2008, 05:30 PM The dealership used the same body kit. Only difference is they're including the 3 pc. chrome grille. The dual pipes come connected on the back bumper. They're not real. Not connected to muffler. The dealership is charging almost $5000 for the kit. Too much money for it, but it looks good.
ctuzzolino 10-09-2008, 06:14 AM nhance,
Can you tell me the dealership? I would like to contact them to view some pictures if they have some to share.
Thanks
nhance 10-09-2008, 12:37 PM It's Vandergriff Cheverolet in Arlington,Tx. The number is 817-557-1200. I forgot the website, but i can get it later tonight when i get off of work.

Love the body kit, spoiler, color-matched bowties. Perfect.
ctuzzolino 10-09-2008, 07:09 PM Thanks for posting them the photos. The kit does look nice and it is the same color as mine and it does look like the Razzi kit.
I was quoted the following from Razzi with paint:
Malibu Kit........$825.00
Paint...............$495.00
Oil Surcharge.....$48.84
Freight.............$125.00
Total..............$1493.84
Truitt 10-09-2008, 08:18 PM I just really like the spoiler...
Razzi has one which I love, but their guarantee on pre-painted products ha me a little iffy. Anyone have experience with them and know of their quality?
DOACanada 10-10-2008, 04:19 AM WOW - That looks sweet! Still quite a bit of $$$$

The pics might not do it justice, but as soon as you see it in person you will be very pleased.

One of the sales people told me it was close to $5000 for the kit. I know now that i talked to the wrong person. I should have just talked to someone in the parts dept.
ctuzzolino 10-10-2008, 12:11 PM I just found out who does the Malibu mock ups for the Vandergriff dealership. I confirmed it is the Razzi kit and asked for their pricing and additional photos in higher resolution and different angles. If I get it, I will post them.
noise 10-10-2008, 01:23 PM Do you guys think it would look bad to do just the front spoiler?
How permanent are these body kits - ie: would you be able to remove without damaging the paint...?

Hate to rain on the Parade but it still has the tacked on look, kinda like the chin spoiler but the rest they can keep, what we need is a rear deck lid wing that is flush with the trunk but sticks out the back ala the Camry, it flows more with the body lines.
DieZel 10-12-2008, 07:04 PM sorry fellas, but that's horrid...
looks like someone made that thing up in their garage in the back yard...
doesn't flow with the body lines at all...
MalibuMike 10-14-2008, 01:43 PM I like the look, but I think Razzi could have done alot better job on the design. I would like to see a pic of that car outside in the sun! Hopefully some one will come up with a better looking ground effects kit, Something that looks more like it came from the factory.
Sammyj 10-16-2008, 10:08 PM Is this the same bodykit? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___2009-Chevrolet-Malibu-LT-Port-City-Edition_W0QQitemZ220296321969QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20Tr ucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item220296321969 &_trkparms=72%3A727|39%3A1|65%3A12|240%3A1318&_trk sid=p4506.c0.m245
ctuzzolino 10-20-2008, 10:04 AM That is the Razzi kit. Horrible color. I have to agree with some of the other posters. The Razzi kit looks pieced on and it does not look like a factory piece. In addition, the cost of the kit with paint is around $1300 dollars. Way too expensive for snap on pieces. Razzi or someone needs to make a kit were the front and back fascia are attached to the grounds with a smooth finish. When that happens, I will most likely purchase the kit.
Does anyone know of an aftermarket hood with a low profile scoop?
