I just ordered a 20 inch wheel for a 2010 malibu ltz. I wanted a 40 series tire intead of the 35 just for a nicer ride. I also plan on lowering the car with the eibach spring set. It claims to lower the car about 1.4inches I believe. Just wondering if anyone has some insight in to whether or not the combination of the two will cause any problems with rubbing or anything.

a 40 series tire wont determine your ride like if you did a 245/35r20 which would be my suggestion you would have to do a 245/40 or bigger to accomplish what your looking for rubbing wish you would have to go narrower to get a 40 series but like a 235/40 and 245/35 are just about the same diameter. i would stay with the 245/35 your options will be greater and your prices should be better as well
