So I got into an accident a few months ago, nothing serious, just scrapes and the grille got cracked. I took the Malibu yesterday to the body shop and I should have it back by Thursday.

The black OEM grille got cracked, so I was looking into getting a new one. I noticed how you have 3 options: black OEM, LTZ grille, or a silver OEM grille. I've only seen the silver once in person, and it was only a quick glance.

Does anyone have a picture of their Malibu with a silver OEM grille?

Some like the black grilles, there was a post about this not too long ago. I personally like the Silver / chrome Grilles. I think the Silver / chrome look classier but that is just my opinion.

Everyone has different taste and some are looking for something different by painting them to give them their own personal touches of their likings.

By the way, sorry to hear about your accident, that sucks! Hope everything goes well with the Malibu.

i had some front end damage to mine in october and i asked the body shop if they could upgrade the black grille to the silver grille.they said the grilles were the same price so i got a free upgrade. i think the silver ltz grille looks alot better.

Pick up a cheap OEM black grill and paint it to match the silver of the car. It comes out looking really nice. The pictures I have can't really show how it actually looks in person, but the addition of the metal flake in the paint makes it stand out more. It may be a shade lighter too, but I am not sure.

So is the silver grille the LTZ grille? I thought the LTZ grilles were chrome..

The price difference is $20 cheaper if I go with the silver grilles rather than the black grilles.

Stock LTZ gets a silvery-white grille, other models get black. They are the color of the plastic with no paint or clear coat.

The dealership by me sells chrome ones. They are exactly like the stock ones, except chromed, very nice. $90 is what they told me they go for.

I definitely prefer the black grill with my black granite metallic BU!

The Malibu's front ends look REALLY hot with the OEM silver-y grill. Much better than the black IMO.
